Plan your trip to Ibiza with your pet
Holidays won’t be perfect if you have to leave your pet at home. Just arrived, many of my guests call the friend or family member who’s taking care of their dog before calling their parents. That’s why today I want to dedicate this post entirely to give you some guidance so you can travel with your pet to Ibiza.
Our hotels to travel with animals
My two colleagues azuLine Hotel Galfi in San Antonio and AzuLine Hotel Mediterraneo in Santa Eulalia are our hotels for and with pets. When, a long time ago, they were granted this plus they were ever so happy. The joy of being able to travel with the whole family, pet included, is incomparable.
Galfi and Mediterrano are also more than well located. The walk of the respective locality is in both cases just a few minutes away, ideal for an early morning walk. This adds a plus of comfort, both for person and pet.
Travelling with pets always makes for good experiences and many anecdotes to tell when returning home. The best, last year, was a family that recorded the holiday of their pet Ron in slow motion. Then they added some triumphant music and sent us the video. Rony on the beach, wet; eating, full of sand; sleeping, drooling.
And speaking of beaches …
Beaches for our furry friends
When travelling with pets to Ibiza during the summer it is important to find out which beaches allow animals. The vast majority forbids the entrance to our friends, but some of them are reserved for their use and enjoyment.
In Santa Eulalia we have two. One is the beach at the mouth of the River near Siesta and, the other, the beach on the coast of S’Esglesi Vella. The first one is 10 minutes walk from the azuLine Hotel Mediterraneo and the second about 20 minutes.
In Ibiza town, between Figueretas and Playa de’n Bossa, is the beach of Es Viver. Its easy access by car makes it very comfortable to take a break on the day that we’re touring the city.
I’ve been told that maybe they’ll give me the pet-friendly plus, how exciting! At the end of the season I can make a slow-motion video of the best furry moments. I promise to share it in a post.
